Your overall wedding stationery will help to give your wedding day a ‘brand’. It will define your wedding style, tying in your theme, colour scheme and details. Often overlooked, your ‘on the day’ stationery is just as important as your initial save the dates and invitations, so it is vital that you spend as much time on it to ensure it’s the perfect fit for your day.

It’s also worth using a variety of signage throughout your wedding day. Not only will signage add a personal touch, it can be extremely useful for your guests too. There is nothing worse than a guest not knowing where they should be, especially if they’re wearing heels! You can use signs to display directions or information about your celebration.

T I P If you are opting for a traditional printed table plan, we always recommend that our couples get it out of the tube that it arrives in and weigh it down to avoid rolled edges. This will make sure that it looks stylish and wedding-ready.

Table Styling

Your table styling can often make or break the aesthetic of your room, so it needs to be carefully considered, particularly when it comes to choosing your table linen. If your table cloths are too short for the tables, it would be better to leave them off instead. If you are having to provide your own table linens, we suggest asking the caterer for their advice.

T I P There are some great and reputable companies out that there offer a wide range of colours for your table cloths, including ‘Linen for Hire’ and ‘Kate Cullen Styling’.

Flowers

Flowers can transform any venue and they can adapt to any style of wedding, whether that’s luxurious and romantic or minimalist and botanical. However, they can also be costly. So if you are conscious of your wedding budget, we suggest focusing less on the ceremony flowers or consider whether you can reuse them somewhere else after the ceremony has finished. You spend the shortest amount of your wedding day in your ceremony space. Both you and your guests will be 100% focused on the ceremony, rather than the décor.

T I P So, if you do want to reuse your ceremony flowers as part of your reception décor, we promise you that no one will notice! And it will help you to save pennies.

So, you have fallen completely in love with a wedding venue, just not their chairs. Sound familiar? Don’t fret, you do not have to use the venue’s chairs if they aren’t what you want for your wedding day. From our experience, almost every venue will store their chairs during your wedding day. They are also usually more than happy to accept deliveries of alternative chairs too. All you have to do is ask!

There are so many styles of chairs out there too, so you will be completely spoilt for choice. From ghost chairs to peacock chairs, do your research and find a style that suits you.

T I P You may find that you only need to hire different seat pads that are in a more appropriate colour to fit in perfectly with your colour scheme, but if you don’t think you can work with their chairs, don’t worry!

There are lots of different things to consider when it comes to creating a design-led wedding day. We would love to chat to you about your big day plans. Feel free to pop our founder, Becca, a message or browse the rest of our blog here.
